Hollywood Animated: Celebrities Reimagined As Pixar Characters

By Ekhama O

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to see your favorite celebs star in any film of your choice? Well, with the advancements in artificial intelligence, one day, you just might. Until now, we’ve had to settle for seeing them in the roles they actually go for despite our casting opinions.

It’s even worse in animation because you only hear their voices. That’s why our article today is so special. It’s an ode to the capabilities of AI and our love for these stars and animation. With the help of AI, we reimagined some of our favorite celebs as Pixar characters.

Honestly, we were quite shocked and impressed with how spot-on some of the images were! So, have a peek at this fun project. Who knows? It might inspire you to create your own!

Amy Winehouse

Legendary English singer and songwriter Amy Winehouse was one heck of a star, and we would give anything to revive her in just about any form. That’s why we couldn’t live her out on this one. We think it’s a pretty good render.

sol/ideogram.ai

We imagine she would star in something kind of soulful and touching, somewhat similar to how her music makes us feel. If there was to ever be another Soul movie, we think she’d do great as part of the supporting cast.

Angelina Jolie

For celebrities with very intricate and unique features, we feared AI might wash them down and somewhat smooth them out to make them look more like Pixar characters. Our fears were somehow confirmed here, but we still think Angelina’s looks shine through.

sol/ideogram.ai

Seeing as Angelina Jolie is already part of Disney’s list of A-Listers who have been cast in their movies (courtesy of her role in Eternals), we had hoped that we’d be able to see her in more animated films. Too bad she’s retiring.

Ariana Grande

We have always believed musicians can lend their unique vocals to movies to make them even more enjoyable. That’s why we have always been for the idea of big stars using their voices not only to sing but also in film projects.

sol/ideogram.ai

Ariana Grande would be an excellent option for a sweet and soft character. Her character on Victorious, Cat Valentine, was the embodiment of that, and she did so well that she got a spin-off! That said, her Pixar character looks more like a bombshell, which we think is a refreshing take.

Audrey Hepburn

We don’t know if it’s a phenomenon, but certain features in people somewhat influence our opinion of how they are as a person. When we saw this AI render of Audrey Hepburn as a Pixar character, we came to some conclusions.

sol/ideogram.ai

She looks a bit shy but very intelligent. The picture doesn’t emphasize Audrey’s brows to mirror how they were in reality, but it’s close enough. We believe this render would make for a fantastic plot twist if she played a villain.

Beyonce

We promise we’re not trying to be advocates of the Beyhive, but any recreation of Beyonce that doesn’t illustrate her as fierce doesn’t do her justice. She radiates that aura so effortlessly that we can’t help but associate it with her anytime we think of her.

sol/ideogram.ai

This photo got the memo. We can spot her that charismatic energy she’s made the world know her by. This render would be perfect for a character who is confident and always sure of herself. One who’s always striving to make people more assertive.

Brad Pitt

If the studio were to ever decide to reprise the Toy Story franchise and they were looking for an older, calmer, and less proud-looking character to fill in the shoes of “Buzz Lightyear,” we think this would be a good fit.

sol/ideogram.ai

This Brad Pitt-inspired character looks like he would care so deeply about keeping his toy family together. He may look kind and feeble, but he won’t hesitate to get fierce if it comes to protecting Andy or any of the other members of their family. We absolutely adore him!

Britney Spears

Some people are just made for stardom on every front, and we think Britney Spears is one of them. Maybe it’s because of her demeanor, talent, and looks, but we can see the star power even in her Pixar character. AI certainly knows its stuff!

sol/ideogram.ai

She might look a bit more down to earth with a less bold hairdo (maybe a messy ponytail) and some more practical clothing. Nonetheless, we think she seems like one heck of a showstopper. We would love to see her in something.

Cameron Diaz

Okay, guys. This is going to sound extremely judgemental, but we can’t help but feel that Cameron Diaz’s character here looks like the epitome of just about every “Karen” that has ever existed. Super sorry, but it just had to be said.

sol/ideogram.ai

Maybe it’s the hairdo, seeing as every stereotypical Karen seems to rock some version of this. Or, maybe it’s just our way of distracting ourselves from those very disturbing images behind her, especially Lightning McQueen, who doesn’t look like his typical gleaming, glossy self.

Chris Hemsworth

If Chris Hemworth’s Pixar character was to play just about any role, a mercenary would be the perfect one for him. We don’t know if it’s just the way we see the man himself or if it’s because of how the character is dressed.

sol/ideogram.ai

Actually, the outfit makes us think of Kristoff from Frozen. Different studio, we know, but that’s who came to mind. Plus, Disney and Pixar have collaborated before on projects like Up, Soul, and Brave, among others. With great success, actually. So, who’s to say this was too far-fetched?

Christina Aguilera

Christina Aguilera’s Pixar character has us split. We can’t decide what kind of person she looks like more. What we have in mind is a sweet aunt who is always on your side or an overbearing and even somewhat judgemental lady, which are two extremes.

sol/ideogram.ai

Perfect for an undercover villain, right? At first glance, she looks like a sweet character, but when you look more closely, it’s almost like she’s leaning towards more of an annoying, judgemental one. You know, the ones who call everyone “sweetie” sarcastically.

Dolly Parton

In stark contrast to what we feel about Christina Aguilera’s Pixar character, we get zero despicable vibes from Dolly Parton here. Her character looks genuinely sweet and friendly. The kind you would love to see on screen all the time.

sol/ideogram.ai

Although she looks quite suitable for that role, we think it would be a very interesting turn if she played a character that was nothing like that. We love to see surprises on the screen! It’s boring when you always get what you expect.

The Rock

Typecasting is a very common phenomenon in Hollywood. Now, whenever we see Liam Neeson starring in a new movie, we can’t help but think, “Hitman.” The same goes for Bruce Willis as well as the legendary former wrestler and actor Dwayne Johnson.

sol/ideogram.ai

Dwayne Johnson is often that big tough guy in all the roles that he appears in. Even Maui in Moana is huge and kind of a moron at some point. But his Pixar character has a different demeanor. He looks like a nice guy who just happens to be super buff. Like a teddy.

Eddie Murphy

It can be a drag to be around people who drain you all the time. You know what we mean, right? The kind of people who never see the positive side of anything and always go out of their way to ruin every moment with their pessimism.

sol/ideogram.ai

Eddie Murphy’s character seems to be the exact opposite of that. That smile just tells you that he’s the kind of guy who’s happy all the time. Someone who’s always looking for ways to make other people happy like he is. Wish there were more people like that!

George Clooney

If you thought Beyonce’s Pixar character was spot on, you’re probably going to think the same thing about George Clooney’s. It’s strange to see the star we know and love look this close to an actual Pixar character. How amazing is that!

sol/ideogram.ai

However, despite all the praises, that Buzz Lightyear costume isn’t fooling anyone. We’re not entirely sure he would be fit for that kind of role. He looks like someone who would work in the corporate world and might be a little bit self-obsessed!

Jason Momoa

There are characters who are always a mainstay in animated movies. Besides the sarcastic ones and annoying ones we seldom see, there are also the hyperactive, energetic ones. Bullseye in Toy Story and Jack-Jack in The Incredibles are two examples.

sol/ideogram.ai

We think Jason Momoa’s Pixar character gives off that vibe. We don’t know if it’s because of his facial expression, but we can’t help but see that in him. Like most of the characters he plays, this guy also seems like he prefers and thrives in the outdoors.

Jennifer Aniston

Now we’re very sure it’s the demeanor that dictates the personalities we come to associate with these Pixar characters. We took one look at Jennifer Aniston’s Pixar character and went blank when it came to guessing what she would be like.

sol/ideogram.ai

She just has a straight, almost blank expression, like a Barbie doll. That said, we think she wouldn’t struggle to fit in as a supporting character on just about any Pixar movie. Maybe a good-looking mom or some kind of instructor for kids. A life coach even.

Jennifer Lopez

Most of the generated pictures we have on this list take a celeb’s features and somewhat soften them to make them look like an animated character. In the process, you should expect to see a bit of washing down of some celebs’ looks.

sol/ideogram.ai

For instance, Jennifer Lopez’s Pixar character seems a lot more different compared to the actual girlie herself. That said, we love how soft and kind the character appears. The outfit, we would guess, was an homage to her Latina roots.

Jimi Hendrix

We’re pretty sure no one will be able to live up to the phenom that was Jimi Hendrix. In his brief time in the limelight, he shaped the genre he performed in with his phenomenal guitar skills. An adaptation of the legend’s life is more than overdue.

sol/ideogram.ai

A Pixar movie where this character would play him would be a pretty good start. We think the render really captures the essence of the musician’s looks. He already seems like the musical prodigy the late and great Jimi was.

Johnny Depp

Some celebs have very special, almost surreal looks that would make it easy to adapt them into animated characters. We honestly think Johnny Depp is one of them, seeing how uncanny his Pixar character’s resemblance is to him. It’s just impressive at this point.

sol/ideogram.ai

We think this character could either be an adventurer who knows a lot about many things or an overachiever who always strives to be above everything and everyone else in his life. Either way, he’d fit pretty well into just about any Pixar movie.

Justin Bieber

Now here’s one that made us giggle a little bit. Maybe artificial intelligence hasn’t gotten the memo yet, but Justin Bieber’s looks have changed quite a lot in the past decade. This picture is giving more of a 2013 JB type of vibe.

sol/ideogram.ai

Sure, making a Pixar character that resembles the old Justin would probably be much easier than making one that looks like the Justin of today, but nonetheless, this one’s a bit far off. That said, we’ll give credit where it’s due. AI came quite close to bringing Bieber’s teen heartthrob persona to life.

Kate Winslet

There are some characters who are just a bit too complicated to go into kid’s cartoons, and most of what Kate Winslet is known for playing is a perfect example of that. It’s the reason why we thought twice about concluding that her Pixar character seems strong and independent.

sol/ideogram.ai

Sure, she does, but that wouldn’t be as layered as some of Kate’s past characters. Nonetheless, she still looks fierce. We think she would do awesome as a protector or guardian of some sort in a Pixar production. See? That’s the beauty of AI. You can go out of your comfort zone and do anything.

Katy Perry

A lot of celebrities, especially musicians, go through different phases. We often see them adopt personas and all kinds of personalities to revive themselves and keep their work at the top of the charts at different points in their careers.

sol/ideogram.ai

For Katy Perry, one of these eras was marked by her rocking blue hair. Although we saw the hair color with a bob and fringe more often, there were times she’d make it into a ponytail amongst other hairdos. We love that AI brought that back!

Keanu Reeves

Keanu Reeves, one of Hollywood’s most beloved men, isn’t renowned for voice acting, but wherever he is, we can’t see him play any role other than the ones he’s used to on screen; a tough guy who knows his way around a gun.

sol/ideogram.ai

We think his Pixar character channels that same energy, and for some odd reason, we can almost even imagine him as a tough guy in a Wild West-themed Pixar movie. He would fit right in among the characters of Rango.

Kim Kardashian

Honestly, we would have loved to see what it was like to imagine these guys in Pixar movies without knowing the actual celebrities who inspired them. We say this because we have a very tinted image of the roles they can play.

sol/ideogram.ai

For instance, this Kim Kardashian version of a Pixar character is giving us nothing less than a bombshell, “baddie” type who likes to indulge herself in all of life’s luxuries. Wonder what we’d think if we didn’t know who she was.

Kris Jenner

In slight contrast to how we feel about Kim Kardashian above, we don’t think this Kris Jenner Pixar character is giving any form of “baddie” or bombshell energy. In fact, she seems like a pretty simple lady. Well, if you ignore the fact that she seems to lack a neck!

sol/ideogram.ai

We think she could play a nice and calm supporting character. Maybe even the main character. It may sound a bit bland for the famous momager, but that’s how we see it. Remember, the point of this is to have fun with the results.

Lady Gaga

Do you recall how we said that knowing a celeb has a significant influence on our views about their Pixar-inspired characters? Well, we are not entirely sure that is the case for the multitalented and multifaceted actress/ singer Lady Gaga.

sol/ideogram.ai

Not because we don’t “know” her, oh no. But because Lady Gaga has basically changed personas over the decades. She has gone from eccentric to classy in recent years, and we can’t really say this Pixar character is either. Could it be both?

Leonardo DiCaprio

In stark contrast to his role in the critically acclaimed movie Wolf Of Wall Street, we think this Pixar character of the legendary Leonardo DiCaprio might do well for a very clumsy and not very bright character. Hear us out.

sol/ideogram.ai

Not to take anything away from him. We’re sure he could also be the good guy or any regular character in a Pixar film, but c’mon! Look at those eyes! Do they really say anything other than “I’m not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed”?

Lindsay Lohan

Have you ever met someone that just screamed “jolly”? Someone who looks like they are always on cloud nine and doesn’t have a care in the world? It can be annoying at first, but these people always find a way to penetrate your heart.

sol/ideogram.ai

That is pretty much the vibe we get from Lindsay Lohan’s Pixar character with her friendly demeanor. We can also picture her as a rude, mean girl, but to be honest, the hyper, always happy side makes a stronger case!

Mariah Carey

So far, we haven’t come across a Pixar character on this list who would be fit for the “mentor” role. Next up is Mariah Carey, who, to us, looks like she would eat up that role with her optimistic and bold look.

sol/ideogram.ai

She also has a very friendly demeanor that gives the impression that she would work really well with kids. Maybe she could even play a preschool teacher if there was a Pixar movie that explored “the secret lives” of toddlers or babies.

Marilyn Monroe

If you also thought Kim Kardashian’s Pixar character looked like one heck of a bombshell, then we really wonder what you will think about Marilyn Monroe’s. She looks like the kind of gal who would walk into a room and take everyone’s breath away.

sol/ideogram.ai

We think this character would be perfect for a role as a star in a Pixar movie. Marilyn really can do it all and across genres, too! She gives off the same vibe as an animated character, wouldn’t you agree?

Meghan Markle

Although Meghan Markle is a Cali girl turned princess in real life, her Pixar character is not exactly as blessed. It is not like we can’t picture her as royalty, too; it’s just that she just seems way more down-to-earth.

sol/ideogram.ai

We can imagine her playing the role of a regular townsperson, maybe a farm girl or a clerk at a local store. If she would star in a Pixar movie, it would most likely be in a supporting role where she’d just be a regular extra.

Meryl Streep

If there’s anything Meryl Streep is known for, it’s taking on very serious roles and excelling in them no matter who she plays. We heard this statement somewhere, and we couldn’t help but agree wholeheartedly; Meryl can do no wrong.

Nonetheless, we think this Pixar character is the epitome of an anti-Meryl. Very playful and fun. Someone you would easily overlook. She could play the eccentric lady of a town or some kind of super fun aunt in an animated movie.

Mick Jagger

Though we are not really huge fans of biopics, we understand why people make them. That said, they are never done in animations, but if there was to be one based on the life of Mick Jagger, only Pixar could possibly do it justice.

sol/ideogram.ai

The Rolling Stones’ founding member is a phenom whose talents and contributions to the industry need to be documented ASAP. You’ve got to love how AI takes certain features and blows them out to make characters stand out. This was a very funny take, but we adore it!

Miley Cyrus

Some people have amazing singing voices, but we think for you to qualify as a decent voice actor, you have to have something that’s just so unique and in tune with life in 2D. It might be an unpopular opinion, but we think Miley’s got that.

sol/ideogram.ai

The distinct raspy quality of her vocals would lend itself extremely well in any animated production (like they did for “Mainframe” in Guardians Of The Galaxy). If she was to voice another character, we would love for it to be someone who fits that kind of persona.

Nicole Kidman

We don’t know what it is about this particular take on computer-generated Pixar characters, but Nicole Kidman really looks like she belongs in one of The Incredibles movies as some kind of superhero alongside the family. Elastigirl’s younger sister, maybe?

sol/ideogram.ai

Either that or she could be a villain instead. Her looks are that versatile. She could also play a super secret agent sent to investigate the family or something, sort of like a minor antagonist in a film. Don’t mind us; we’re just brimming with ideas!

Oprah Winfrey

There are some people we can’t look at any other way. We can’t imagine Donatella Versace as anyone else but a designer or Malala Yousafzai as anyone but an activist, the same way we can’t picture Oprah Winfrey as anyone else but a talk show host and media mogul.

sol/ideogram.ai

Even without knowing who Oprah was in the first place, we think anyone would agree that the character would fit into those shoes too. Either that or she could be someone who’s in charge of kids; a preschool teacher, or a principal at a local middle school.

Pamela Anderson

The late ’80s and early ’90s saw the rise of hundreds of stars we know and love today. Amongst people like Keanu Reeves, Bradd Pitt and Hugo Weaving, Pamela Anderson was another star who also achieved fame during the time.

sol/ideogram.ai

Just like who she is in reality, we imagine her Pixar character could also be some kind of a model. She could also be someone who is very engrossed in themselves and their looks, sort of like the female version of Johnny Bravo.

Paris Hilton

How can anyone ever look at Paris Hilton and not think “pure and utter luxury?” The lady enjoys all things expensive, and even when she looks the most down-to-earth, we can’t help but think that her demeanor is still giving grandeur.

sol/ideogram.ai

Her Pixar character doesn’t seem to be like that to us, though. She looks a little more naive and reserved and could play a role in a movie in that light. Maybe someone who is too nice for their own good.

Peter Dinklage

The outstanding four-time Primetime Emmy Award winner, Peter Dinklage, is a name to be reckoned with in Hollywood. He’s known for his work in the exquisite fantasy series, Game of Thrones, where he played one of the most memorable roles.

sol/ideogram.ai

We know he’s been involved in more comic productions, but it’s still weird for us to see him in them. That said, we don’t think we would feel that way about his Pixar character at all. He’s got that famous demeanor locked down!

Reese Witherspoon

It’s not easy to find a character that embodies a “kind momma” look, but we think this rendition of Reese Witherspoon is just that. She has such a kind face and looks so understanding that we think she’d make a very lovable mom.

sol/ideogram.ai

We watch a lot of wholesome movies about family, and we don’t think we’ll get tired of them anytime soon. That’s why we are totally behind any new ones with unique storylines. Reese would be awesome in a film like that.

Rihanna

If memory serves us right, we don’t think there has ever been a Pixar movie centered on kids in college. Not to be mistaken with characters in college because, well, there’s Monsters University. Perhaps that’s because a lot of these movies’ main audience is kids.

sol/ideogram.ai

If they were to change that, this Pixar character inspired by Rihanna would fit nicely as one of the cool, laid-back kids in college. She could be a nonchalant college goer who doesn’t care much about what people think even though she always draws attention.

Ryan Gosling

Here comes another face we think could be perfect for a very naive and clueless character. Ryan Gosling doesn’t often take on roles of that kind, but he excelled at playing Ken in Barbie, and we think AI thought so, too, so here we are!

sol/ideogram.ai

We see him in some kind of movie about an adventure. He would be the clumsy one who would always cause some kind of trouble for the rest of the group. Someone like that little squirrel in the Ice Age movies.

Sandra Bullock

Sandra Bullock is known for playing a variety of characters. From her role as an undercover FBI agent in the cult classic Miss Congeniality to more recent ones as a handler in Bullet Train and the redemptive Ruth in The Unforgivable, she’s really done it all.

sol/ideogram.ai

That’s why it’s so hard to put a finger on what kind of role this Pixar character would fit best since we can’t pick just one. We would like to see her in an adventurous role since we don’t get that very often from Sandra.

Selena Gomez

More often than not, we see the “boy next door” archetype being portrayed in all kinds of movies and series more than we do for the opposite gender. We need more roles in that light for girls, and we think this could be a start!

sol/ideogram.ai

If there was ever a Pixar movie about teen romance and young love, we think this Pixar character based on Selena Gomez would make the perfect girl next door. She looks like a simple girl any teen boy would easily swoon over!

Shakira

Not sure if it’s just the hair or her overall bold demeanor, but this Shakira Pixar character very much gives off “Merida” from Brave. It’s a beloved animated movie of ours, so we can’t just help but tie things to it whenever we get the chance.

sol/ideogram.ai

She could easily play a long-distance aunt to Merida or maybe even someone the girl looked up to on all fronts, even in style! Not sure if we’d ever get to see that on the big screen but imagining it will still do.

Steve Carell

We love ourselves a good sitcom, and nothing really gets us the way Mockumentaries do. We adored Modern Family and can comfortably say we watched Popstar: Never Stop Stopping a concerning number of times, just like we did The Office.

sol/ideogram.ai

That love for mockumentaries extends to the cast who make them special for us. This included the one and only Steve Carell. His Pixar character would do well in a similar role as some kind of funny, loveable boss in an amusement park.

Taylor Swift

There are several routes production companies take to bring in wads of cash for themselves. Though we admit that we are no experts, one of our suggestions would be to make a movie starring a Pixar character inspired by this gal.

sol/ideogram.ai

Taylor Swift has a mighty fan base, to put it mildly, and we’re pretty sure most of those young teenage girls she appeals to would flock to cinemas the moment they can get a chance to watch a movie based on their fave.

Tom Cruise

Hand him a backpack filled with all kinds of supplies and send him the details of the next mission, and this guy would be in business. Speaking from another money-making standpoint, a movie with a Tom Cruise-inspired Pixar character would also make major bank.

sol/ideogram.ai

Seeing as none of his actual movies has made less than a couple hundred million dollars at the box office, we think one with him as a Pixar character won’t do too bad, too. Maybe make him voice the character too and put in loads of adventure just like some of his live actions.

Whoopi Goldberg

Most Pixar movies are based on some kind of whimsy, if you get what we mean. They’re almost always based on the supernatural or a life that’s very different from the one we actually live. That’s why we feel this Whoopi Goldberg character would fit right in.

sol/ideogram.ai

We can see her being some kind of consultant to the “oracles” or just a lady who knows a lot about stuff and gets to help the main protagonist on their journey and whatnot. Don’t know about you guys, but that’s what we see in her!

Will Smith

This AI-generated Pixar character beautifully brings out the softer side of Will Smith. He looks like such a kind man who can do no one any harm, which is kind of ironic when you examine the roles Will often takes on.

sol/ideogram.ai

This may sound kind of far-fetched, but we think this Pixar character could still take on those kinds of roles. They’re just so befitting for the man, and even though he might appear softer, he would still look menacing, wielding a weapon.
