He revealed that wherever the character he plays leads, the show’s fans follow. Speaking to Today on July 7th, he recalled his time playing Tristin on the popular series. Tristin was the incautious overhasty classmate of Rory Gilmore, played by Alexis Bledel at Chilton Prep School.

He confessed how much the fans loved his character even though he was a jerk. “The response I get at all times is how much they love him,” the 39-year-old shared. “I’ve never had anyone come up to me and said- which you really expect every time – Tristin was a jerk. Why did you call her Mary? It has never happened. The fans pretty much love Tristin.”

Chad Murray referred to Alexis Bledel as an “awesome” co-star, and he also revealed that he shared some of his memorable times with Jared Padalecki, who played the Dean. He said this even though most of these interactions were tense exchanges.

He said it was always fun for him to take it up with Jared on-screen when off cameras they palled around. “I remember these scenes where Tristin is such a jerk and Jared is the sweetest guy in the whole world.” “But other than that, we get along so well, and we’re having it out,” he narrated.
