Taylor’s Album Evermore Makes It To Number 1 On Rolling Stone 200

Thanks to the vinyl release of the album, Evermore by Taylor Swift has managed to bag the first position on Rolling Stone 200 Albums list. The album was originally launched in December, and evidently, the lion’s share of the album was boosted by the sales. In the past week, Evermore sold around 157,400 more copies, making it the young singer’s 14th week at the top position on the Rolling Stone 200. This broke the record of several artists. Evermore surpassed Sour by Olivia Rodrigo in its second week on the chart. Also, The Off-Season by J. Cole also dropped by one spot, currently standing at number 3. Another popular album, Dangerous: The Double Album, by Morgan Wallen, stands at number 5.

The Rolling Stone 200 Album list follows the most popular US releases of the week. And the album’s selling unit determines the position on the chart, which combines both physical and digital album sales. Additionally, it also includes digital sales of the songs and audio streams through a custom weighting system. However, Rolling Stone Charts does not encompass passive listening, like on digital radio or on terrestrial radio.

And Rolling Stone updates the data daily, and every week, it finalizes and releases an official version of the chart. It basically covers the seven-day period that ends every Thursday. Delighting in her 48th week at the number one spot on the Billboard Artist 100 chart Taylor Swift has never spent so many weeks at the top of the chart in the US.
